English Schools Athletics Championships
Congratulations to Patrick Lucas and David Olajiga who have been selected to represent Surrey in the England schools athletics championships at Gateshead this weekend.
Patrick has been an outstanding athlete since joining the school in year seven. Now in year eleven, he is making his second appearance in the championships in the 800 metres. Patrick will have a tough schedule with heats on Friday morning followed by a semifinal in the afternoon, with an aim of qualifying for the final on Saturday. Patrick is also a member of Croydon Harriers.
David, in year nine, has made rapid progress this year in the shot putt. He is now ranked second in the UK and will hoping to finish high up the order in Friday's competition.
